WinISO provides you with all the functionality you need to deal with your ISO image files. It allows you to open and edit them, extract their files and burn them to disc (including Blu-ray discs), create and convert them into other image file types (including Nero’s NRG and Alcohol 120%’s MDF+MDS), create bootable discs, and – new to this version – mount your ISO image files.
Its nice-looking interface offers both oversized and attractive icons and a standard menu bar, with individual settings dialogs that open in a new window whenever you select one of the program’s main functions – open, save, extract, make, convert, burn, and mount. One of the beauties of this tool is the possibility it offers to edit the contents of an ISO file. This means that you will no longer need to extract the files of the image and create a new ISO file from scratch just because you forgot to include or leave out a file or folder. This function allows you to view the contents of the ISO file, make all the necessary changes, and save it or burn it to disc.
The program supports not only ISO, but also some of the most widely used image file formats, such as NRG (Nero-Burning ROM), CUE and BIN, MDS and MDF (Alcohol 120%), and CCD, IMG, and DVD from CloneCD. Thus, you can create new images in any of these formats, edit them, burn them to disc, and convert between them. You can use WinISO to build data image files or to clone the information stored in any CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc. Likewise, WinISO allows you to burn your image files in any of the recordable types of discs supported by your media drive.
WinISO provides the right balance between ISO-related functionality and user interface usability, making this tool a good choice for both savvy and novice users.
